On the 7th of this month, ITRI held an international forum at the Green Energy Demonstration Park in Shalun, Tainan, inviting industry experts to share and discuss photovoltaic technologies, and it's also open to the public. In addition, a physical exhibition area and product tour are scheduled to engage more audience in this event.

Since Sun Rise president Mr. Tung had a business trip on the same day, Doris, the special assistant, gave the speech at the forum instead.

In the speech she introduced the technological evolution of Sun Rise from onshore to offshore solar energy since its establishment, and briefly explained the reasons for focusing on offshore solar energy in the future, as well as the challenges that will be encountered in the process. In the post-meeting forum, some well-known professionals in the solar energy industry also exchanged their insights, such as: Mr. Xie, president of HD Renewable Energy, Mr. Olaf de Swart, head of Solar Duck Asia Pacific, researchers from Japanese AIST and the deputy director of ITRI etc.

Owing to the difficulties currently faced in offshore solar energy, Doris shared that the most urgent thing to do for Taiwan government is to improve laws and regulations to provide the industry as a basis to stand upon. In the future, the company's goal is to build a offshore energy park, by co-constructing it with wind turbines, or to working with hydrogen production as a form of energy storage. Those communication with industry experts helped us to explore more development possibilities and contribute more to carbon reduction globally.
