First Floating Solar Project Site in Taiwan

After the Typhoon Morakot, the Pingtung County Government strengthened the embankment, built a pumping station, and set up a detention pond. At the same time, they launched a "water cultivation and power generation" project and established the first floating solar system at the detention pond in Jiadong Township. The system has a daily power output enough for 94 households.
